Welcome to PILATES! This class involves a series of Pilates exercises performed on a mat without equipment. Some classes may utilize props; such as a magic circle, ball, bands or weights. Each exercise emphasizes breath, core conditioning, and body awareness at a deliberate pace. This class does place an emphasis on connecting mind and body as well as being present with your movements. You can expect a combination of challenge and release, strengthening and lengthening, precision and grace. Whether you’re a beginner or expert practitioner, this mat workout will strengthen the core, tone the hips and thighs, and flatten the abs.
